My God, A girl at my job turned me on to Bill Miller, and
it's just a part of a larger association I notice forming! First
of all, I've always loved the Nez Perces, as far back as age 4! I
was there once. One day, when I first started working there, the
gal Luana and I started talking about past lives and I said that
when you look in the mirror you see your past reflected. In my
mind I was thinking of the times I did that, and always saw
myself with the Nez Perce tribe in 1877! I asked Luana what she
saw and she said, "I was with the Nez Perce tribe in
1877!!!!" I couldn't believe it. The next day she brought in
a book entitled "TRIP THROUGH PARADISE" about a white
"squaw man" and his travels with the Nez Perces. There
is a picture of the man's wife, a full blood Nez Perce! And Luana
bares a striking resemblence to Inwholise! And, that particular
book Trip Through Paradise was my virtually Bible when I went to
this Indian camp in Montana and talked the camp directors into a
field trip based on that very book, so that book bares so much
association for me and Luana! One day she picked me up for work
and was playing Bill's tape and I immedately loved the music and
the association. He is really wonderful, and I just wish I had
been turned on to him a long time ago...but then again, maybe I
was! Thanks Bill Miller Leslie Katie Siegel hugz-sgl@pacbell.net

Bill, my wife and I have been with you for years until we
moved away from the southeast. We've met you in Nashville, North
Carolina, and even in South Dakota--having front row every time.
We even played flute together after a Nashville show at the
Bluebird Cafe. Now I live in Oklahoma where I am a drug and
alcohol counselor for other Native Americans. So if you cross the
Mississippi, out on the open range, and you pass through some
Oklahoma cowtowns and the sky begins to rain, please consider
pulling over and maybe visiting the Native women and children who
live in treatment. Most are homeless and all are in recovery and
would be thrilled to hear you play. My wife and I could also
offer you free lodging.

We were driving home at 7:20 pm on Saturday, February 15th
when we heard a song on the radio (WTTS, Bloomington IN) with
Native American Flute in it. When the DJ announced that it was
Bill Miller and that he was performing at Second Story in 40
minutes, we decided to 'road trip' there and catch the show. We
are lovers of Coyote Oldman and R. Carlos Nakai, and had never
heard of Bill Miller before. We were so glad we went. Hearing
that kind of music 'in person' is such a rare treat in these
parts. After the show, I spoke to Bill, telling him that I'd just
purchased a Courting Flute made by Coyote Oldman. He told me I
should have brought it along so he could set it up for me
correctly. Next time he's in the area, I plan to do just that.
Thanks Bill!!!

Introduced to Bill Miller's music on a Vison Quest with
Pine Bear at Big Bend. Lessons from Water Grandmother were
powerful. Listen to Me on Raven in the Snow reminds me of that
lesson two years ago. I will return to Guest Book and respond to
messages until I get an address.

As I sit here typing wearing my autographed Raven in the
Snow baseball hat, I had a thought. After 25 years as a Disc
Jockey I though I had heard everything but Bill Miller's Art,
Music and Spirituality is something that should be witnessed by
everyone. Also, Buffet's folks are Parrotheads - are we then
Ravenheads?? Keep on keeping on, Bill!! See you soon!

Our first contact with Bill Miller was hearing one of his
songs on a native american station in Montana during a vacation
trip last year, and liked him very much. We bought all of his
albums and were interested in seeing him in person. We checked on
the alternative native web page and found the nearest concert was
in Eugene, Oregon. It was a long 400 mile drive but worth it in
every way. The concert was for a native american benefit. The
group was not large but enthusiastic. And if the group had been
in the thousands he could not have been any better. We were very
impressed with the effort and enthusiasm Bill put into his
performance.

I will never forget the first time we met. It was in 1990
at Waycross College where you performed for us and we made you
some Macaroni & Cheese and after the show we went to Shoney's
for dinner. I was so inspired by you and your music. I married
Amy, the one that made the M & C, and we have stayed loyal
fans. Good Luck

Having enjoyed his mucis for some time now I
feel very honored to have meet Bill in Philadelphia. It is very
refreshing to hear someone sing that is so talented. I also found
him to be a very devoted family man which in this day and age is
rare.If you ever get a chance to hear him sing make sure that you
do,trust me,you'll walk away from the show asking where his next
one will be so that you can see him again.

Great Site. Great Artist, Great Musician,
Great Composer, Great example, helping to confront the ills of
the world, connecting this Circle of Life so all seven directions
are in harmoney.

I saw bill miller at the state theater with
tori amos. I have never seen an opening act get a standing
ovation but bill did. I got chills the whole time he was playing.
his music being so strong and from the heart left a mark on my
soul. I wish bill would come back to maine for a show of his own.

I had never heard of Bill Miller before we
attended the Kathy Mattea concert at the Rialto Theatre in
Joliet, IL on October 18. Bill was the opening act. I was very
impressed that I went out and bought two CD's! That flute of his
is magical! I am calling the radio stations in my area to play
his songs, and urge everyone else to do so.

It never ceases to amaze me how such a talent
as Bill Miller has not recieved the recognition worthy of
"Star". Bill's "Reservation Road" is one of
the most haunting personal productions I have ever heard ! I
would like to ask if (1) Bill will be in the Western New York
area anytime in the near future and, (2) does he have an Internet
or E-Mail address ? Looking forward to more from Bill .
